Cornerstone Missions
At Cornerstone Tabernacle, we believe that missions is not just far, it is near; it is not just there, it is hereas well. As Christians, we are called to live a missional lifestyle among those God has placed us wherever that may be: at home, at work, on the sports field, in school, and while we pursue our leisure activities. Individually and corporately, we are on a light on the hill for the Gospel.

Below are the full-time missionaries and other missions endeavors that Cornerstone Tabernacle supports. You will find ministries both near and far, from the reaches of the earth to in our own backyard. Take the time to read their profiles and more importantly keep them in your prayers.
Tim and Karen Shoda
Missionaries to Haiti
Tim and Karen Shoda love the people of Haiti. Together they share the responsibilities of overseeing the many facets of the ministry both state-side and in Haiti. Tim leads teams, construction projects, manages over the medical/dental mobile clinic bus, and refers to himself as the “grunt guy.” He will do “whatever it takes” to meet the needs at hand. Karen is our Dental Coordinator and works closely with the children of HOPE Orphanage. The Shodas currently work stateside for Haiti more than they do on the ground in Haiti. Tim directs all our current operations in Haiti and manages our shipments from the US to Haiti. The Shoda’s plan to spend “most” of their time serving in Haiti in the near future. Until that time comes, they travel back and forth several times throughout the year.

Fish And Loaf Food Pantry

Our vision is to be a Community of Joy and love in which all people minister to one another and transform our present world into the Kingdom of God.
The mission of the Fish and Loaf Ministry is to glorify God by distributing food to the hungry people of the area. We accept referrals from state and local agencies and ministries and we in turn refer people to those agencies that provide services we do not offer.
The food pantry is open every 2nd Saturday morning from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. We are located in the Cornerstone Tabernacle Annex at 5004 McEver Rd. Oakwood, GA 30566.

Chi Alpha is a full-time campus ministry on the campus of the University of Georgia. Focusing on discipleship and leadership development, Chi Alpha at UGA seeks to develop Spirit filled leaders to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the university, the marketplace and the world!

Ric Newsom
Missionary to Hong Kong
During the past year God has been really stirring Ric’s heart for the large population of lost people in Hong Kong and reaching them through non-traditional methods. Through prayer and networking, he has become more aware of the large number of talented Christians in the arts in Hong Kong and the potential to reach people with the Gospel through that community. As a result Rick is in the nascent stages of creating a community of artists and musicians with a missional focus on reaching the unreached through music and the arts in the spaces outside the walls of the church.
